My Grownup Christmas ListSo here’s my lifelong wishMy grownup Christmas listNot for myself, but for a world in needNo more lives torn apartThat wars would never startAnd time would heal all heartsAnd every man would have a friendAnd right would always winAnd love would never end- Natalie Cole Sometimes it is so easy to get caught up in the Holidays that we forget what they are all about: love, family, and friendship. This time of year is such a fantastic reminder to the entire world that love can heal all. My Grown Up Christmas List has always been one of my favorite Christmas songs; whenever I heard it I could feel the music stirring in my soul. This song sings more truths than most: Love is the key. To me, that is what Christmas is all about: LOVE. It celebrates the birth of a miraculous little baby who is showered in love despite the situation and surroundings. It celebrates the birth of a love that is unwavering and unconditional. A pure, clean love. This Christmas, let us all celebrate the love given to us by our Savior by spreading that love to all around us. But Christmas is also a time for gifts! So take a few moments to be completely selfish and write your Christmas List. ;)Tips to a creative Christmas List:1. Diversity is key – you don’t want anything accidentally to similar. 2. Be selfish. Think of things you really want, but just couldn’t or wouldn’t buy yourself. Or maybe something you have been dying to have but haven’t gotten around to buying. This is your chance. 3. Make it public. We always see ‘wish lists’ on shopping websites. Well, why not write yours out (like below) and send to your friends or family! It will definitely be worth it and not to mention helpful to others who have difficulty buying gifts. 4. Think outside the box. Vary prices by having a large range in pricing. 5. Don’t hold back, but don’t overdo it. You want your voice heard about what you want, but you don’t want to ask for too much, be over the top, or too pushy.
