A Trip to MontrealMontreal is great city, with lots of sites and lots of history. Be prepared for great food, great french, and great architecture. Start the day off with a cab ride through the city and breakfast at St-Viateur Bagel. Any location is great, but I recommend the original flagship bakery on St Viateur. The sesame bagel is my favorite. Next stop, the market! You can seriously spend all day here; you must go to Marche Jean Talon. It is the biggest and best market I have experienced. The produce is amazing. Be sure to come hungry: there are a bunch of yummy baked goods as well. Dinner at Cafe Parvis is a must! A very casual cafe that has good wine and great pizza. I recommend having a reservation to ensure a good table. Spend the day exploring Old Montreal. Get yourself lost and stumble upon cute shops and cafes. Stop in Jardin Nelson for a live jazz lunch, every day of the week. Continue walking along P’lace Jacques-Cartier, then head to enjoy the Basilique Notre-Dame. Finish the day off with a walk along the harbor and dinner at the Hotel William Gray. The walk down St Catherine is decorated with colorful balls during the warm months. It is a fun site to walk down!
