The Koh Tao Cabana was my absolute favorite resort on Koh Tao Island, Thailand. It was truly paradise on the beach. There was a great restaurant called Rim Lae, which served a variety of foods ranging from Thai to American. The drinks were also great; I recommend the Rim Lae Special (pictured above). The Cabana also has a beautiful turquoise pool with a waterfall! The resort is set at a prime location at the end of the beach. It has the best part of the Gulf of Thailand right in front of it. There is also a boat taxi next door. Scuba diving schools are within a five minute walk right on the beach! Town is about a ten minute walk, and can be done via the road or the beach. Just walking around the resort can be enough – with hidden walkways and viewpoints visited via the stairs through the jungle. The room was incredible! It featured: private pool with jets, cabana with hammock, direct beach access, back porch w/ 2 lounge chairs, kitchenette, and giant fish tank. The bathroom had couple’s massage tables, a giant stone bath tub, double headed rain shower w/ skylight, and an aquarium above the sink. The entire decor was to die for!
