If you are anything like me, your skin does not get along with the cold, winter weather. Mine gets so dry that it itches, then cracks, and becomes so painful. It makes the winter months very uncomfortable.
Why does skin get so dry in the winter? The cold weather sucks out all the moisture of the moisture, leaving our skin dry and cracked. It can feel uncomfortable and even downright painful. The most common places affected from cold weather are hands, face, and lips. Certain skincare products help to lock moisture into skin that cold weather has dried out.
Luckily, I keep these five products in my skincare arsenal to battle the damage of winter weather on my skin:
1. Aquaphor’s Aquaphor Healing Ointment
I like to use this before bed on my hands, feet, and lips. It is an actual miracle worker on my skin.

2. LanoLips 101 Ointment Multipurpose Superbalm
This instantly soothes my dry, cracked lips. I can actually feel it working as soon as I apply it. I also use it on my cuticles and elbows.

3. Beauty Counter Rosewater Facial Spray
This helps to keep my skin hydrated from the dryness of winter.

4. Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil
This is so hydrating that I don’t even need a moisturize after I use it!

5. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair BarriAIR Cream
This is so light and airy, it feels exactly like I would imagine a cloud to feel on my skin. Plus, it helps repair the barrier torn down from drying, cold weather.

*Note: water based oils can freeze pores causing pores to bust.
