10 Ways to Reset for the New Year

 

  1. Clean out last year. Throw out everything you can and organize the rest in folders. This includes your home, office, computer, phone, etc.
  2. Try mixing up your routine once you get back into it. Or even add something new! Try waking up earlier so you can accomplish more in the mornings. This will start your day on track.
  3. Make REALISTIC (key word) Resolutions that you can actually stick to. Hold yourself accountable to these resolutions and you will thank yourself.
  4. Start a journal. Or a dream journal. Or both! Writing helps to clear your head and is a great form of expression. No one ever has to read it, or even know!
  5. Meditate and try to clear your mind (trust me, I know how hard this is). Focus your energy on the clean slate of the new year that’s ahead of you.
  6. Plan a trip this month. Even if it’s a short road trip or a staycation, a weekend getaway always helps to reset.
  7. Plan out your year ahead in your calendar. Your future self will thank you. Plus, you now have a jump on any upcoming dates!
  8. Do a juice cleanse, Whole30, or some form of health reset. Getting your body reset and healthy will also help reset your mind. And your body will thank you.
  9. Stop a bad habit. We all have them. Let’s try to break one.
  10. Focus on the future. Think about your goals and how to attain them. Then start working towards them in whatever ways possible.
