What to Do for a BirthdayI absolutely love my birthday. I celebrate during the entire month of August. I wanted to share some of the fun things I did this past month to celebrate turning 26! Birthday BrunchA Bloody Mary bar and Mimosa bar were a must. So, I went with some friends to Eugene’s Monkey Bar, in Bienville Square. It did not disappoint. The food is so creative and delicious. Plus, they allow you to switch back and forth between bottomless bloody marys and mimosas. Romantic Date NightWe had sushi at Chuck’s Fish then walked around Downtown Mobile’s LODA Artwalk.Boat & Beach DayWe took the boat from Fish River down to the beach. We spent the day playing on the beach at Robinson Island and got pizza and bushwhackers from Pirate’s Cove.See a ShowGoing to watch a movie, opera, play, or even a sporting event is always a fun way to celebrate. The Saenger Theatre, in Mobile, just finished their Summer Movie Series and we were fortunate enough to catch "Gone with the Wind." Check out their full schedule of events here! Or check out a Mobile Baybears baseball game. Relax at the SpaIt’s your birthday! You deserve to be pampered. Which is why I had a full day at the Battle House, taking full advantage of their amazing spa services and rooftop pool with great views of downtown Mobile. I treated myself to a massage and facial. They serve complimentary champagne and wine, have a full whirlpool, and sauna. For more information, or to book an appointment, click here. Another option, is the Grand Hotel located across Mobile Bay in Point Clear, Alabama. They too have a luxurious spa, but their pool can’t be beat! It is also located directly on Mobile Bay and features a full marina. Their Sunday Jazz Brunch is also a fun way to celebrate a birthday!
