Last week, I spent the day in Santa Barbara for the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. It was such a short drive from LA, and the view from Ventura to Santa Barbara was great. Santa Barbara is located between the Ynez Mountains & Pacific Ocean, and is often referred to as the American Riviera. I arrived in town around 9:30 am, the weather was already in the high 70s. I spent the morning exploring State Street – found a coffee shop and went to the awesome Arlington Theatre (I highly recommend a visit there). I then had to go check out the Pier and the Harbor. You can drive on the pier and dine there, but I chose to dine at the Harbor in a restaurant called Brophy Bros. (there is also one in Ventura). By this time it was 84 degrees! After lunch, I went to check out two amazing hotels. First was The Fess Parker – A Doubletree by Hilton Resort. It has a big, open event space outside with a nice balcony surrounding it. The view from there is pretty great 🙂 It is right across the stree from the beach, plus it has a pool. Oh, and did I mention tons of dining options? It is a cool place to check out if in the area. The second hotel was the Four Seasons Resort the Biltmore Santa Barbara, which is huge. I hung out by the pool for a bit, but got run inside when the sun began to go down. I finished my day of exploring with dinner in the hotel at Bella Vista, where I watched a beautiful sunset while enjoying black truffle alfredo and a glass of locally made Sauvignon Blanc. I then hurried back to the Arlington Theatre to get ready for the Film Festival! I made a quick outfit change then made my first red carpet entrance 🙂 It was a perfect ending to a great day.(photo journal below)Wearing:Rory Beca blouseFree People denim shortsAnine Bing sunglassesCircus by Sam Edelamn gladiatorsAlexander McQueen backpackSanta Barbara HarborFour Seasons the Biltmore Santa BarbaraSanta Barbara International Film Festival
